Measures 32mm diameter by 3mm thick and weighs approx .8 oz of 92.5% silver. This coin has been deep laser engraved and darkened with a chemical process to a black forced patina. Smaller than our typical 40mm coins these feel like a hefty piece of real currency! Front side features Icarus on his ascent to the sun. You can see his wings are beginning to fall apart from the heat. But unlike the traditional story Icarus does not fall to his death, instead (back side) an eagle catches him on his fall back to earth. We wanted to turn a tragic story into something motivational.
