Laser engraving services

Specializing in coin engraving. We run a high precision Galvo type fiber laser system capable of engraving metals in extreme detail with depth. Our focus is on custom coinage in small lot size typically from 5 - 25 pieces.

Budget. “Time is money” and “you get what you pay for” are commonly heard terms that hold true for us. Laser engraving can be a fast process or a slow process. Our artistic finish techniques can take some time as well. We find it easier if you tell us what your budget is for your coin. Then wecan show you examples of what you will get for that budget. We have done coins as low as $10 and up to $100.

Metals. We try to keep a variety of metals in stock to use for customers projects. Metals that we have extensive experience engraving are

  • Cupronickel - copper/nickel alloy. Silver in color, its what the US 5 cent coin is made from

  • Brass - Very popular coins as a “challege coin”

  • Copper - 99.9% pure copper. Patinas (ages) very quickly

  • Bronze - very similar to brass just a big darker

  • Stainless Steel - less popular choice for a silver colored coin than cupronickel

  • Titanium - lightweight. does not age.

  • Silver - very easy to engrave, will show patina over time

  • Zirconium - black in color after heat treating

  • Titanium Damascus - bright multi colored stripes after heat treating

Your Artwork requirements. We generally do not do in house art design for coins. It is best to provide us with a completed design as a black and white .PNG file. we do not do photograph type engravings in grayscale.
